"Hearts for Hunger" Food Drive

Fabric Images and Metal Images recently participated in the Hearts for Hunger program including a community food drive organized by the Elgin Area Leadership Academy. Hearts for Hunger, a project aimed at addressing the growing struggle of area families to put food on the table. The weak economy has increased the need for food and decreased giving at many area food pantries.

In the spirit of Give what you can when you are able; take what you require when you are in need, team members of Fabric Images and Metal Images were delighted to participate in an event that helped strengthen the communit

Along with the middle schools, high schools, and other area businesses, donations were gathered at Fabric Images. In total, there were 5,315 items that were sorted and packed during this drive. Full skids of food were delivered to each of the local food pantries as well as the Northern Illinois food bank.
