Elgin, IL – May 5, 2016: Fabric Images®, a dynamic global solutions provider of printed and non-printed tensioned fabric architecture, announces their winning achievement in the design/build Exhibitions community. Autodesk fabric silos

EXHIBITOR Magazine’s 30th Annual Exhibit Design Awards is a competition open to trade show exhibit designs making their debut in the United States or abroad between Nov. 1, 2013, and Nov. 1, 2015. The five Autodesk tension fabric silo elements made their introduction in Las Vegas in December 2014. Fabric Images was brought in as a partner on the project due to their design ingenuity, structural knowledge, material resourcing and conviction in pushing the limits of what structural frame and fabric can do.

The five silos, covering an overall footprint of 385 square feet and standing 24 feet in height, were created using aluminum framework and a combination of vibrant dye sublimation printed fabrics. Due to transparency in the upper third of each unit, the frames were structurally engineered without visible support work, leaving a clear span of 20 feet. All manufacturing of the units was completed under one roof at Fabric Images corporate headquarters in Elgin, IL, including engineering, metal fabrication and assembly, material resourcing, sewing and finishing.

Established in 1986, the Exhibit Design Awards honor the world's best trade show exhibit designs. One EDGE Award, for Exhibit Design and Graphic Excellence, and multiple Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards are offered in 18 categories. Winning entrants will receive a custom trophy, and winning designs will be showcased in a feature article in the May 2016 issue of EXHIBITOR and at www.ExhibitorOnline.com
