For the Louis Vuitton Mexico City location, Fabric Images® Mexico team fabricated a red ribbon that turned the building into a holiday display. Its total length neared 500 feet as it traveled the perimeter of the building.
The ribbon came to life via an aluminum frame with a fabric cover. The fabric selected was poplin in a dyed-red color, which mirrored the appearance of gift-wrapping ribbon. Beneath the fabric, an aluminum structure created a ribbon-like form. Although the 13ft tall bow appears to be tied, a hand-bent aluminum tube structure established the shape.
Displayed outdoors for nearly two months, this distinctive architecture dressed the holiday season. Tension fabric offered an accurate illusion of a gift waiting to be opened.
