Acoustical Performance
Acoustic PET felt is made from millions of compressed fibers and absorbs sound waves via tiny air pockets in the material. It dissipates these waves that would otherwise travel through the space, bouncing off of hard surfaces and causing an echo effect that increases overall ambient noise in the space.
Acusti-fi achieves an NRC value of .3 to 1.0 depending on it's usage and can have a significant impact on the acoustics within the space.

Fi Interiors’ Acusti·fi™ is a sound-absorbing rigid felt material designed to quiet a space in style by reducing excess noise in the mid-to-high frequency range. This sound-absorbing material is environmentally sustainable and contains a minimum blend of 50% post-consumer waste sourced from recycled PET bottles. The material production process itself generates no waste.
Acusti-fi is the felt material used in our line of ceiling, wall and partition products and solutions. It is available in 17 standard colors, can be digitally printed, cut and V-carved to incorporate unique artwork designs, shapes and patterns.
